PS Her comment in her blog about how no one could really live on 25K a year in DC and so many young women took older "benefactors" is probably not too far off the mark. When I was living in NYC in the late 80's, I had a dozen or so girlfriends who supplemented their income this way. And, like Ms. Cutler, many of them weren't anything to write home about in the looks department.
