WONDERFUL! I love hearing about closed chapters being re-chartered! Congratulations to the expansion team for their hard work! Plus it'll be our first/only active ND chapter! :]
Any idea when Beta Iota originally was chartered and when it closed?

I believe Beta Iota was chartered in 1947 and closed in 1988 (per irishpipes' big NPC thread).

For the National website:
Beta Iota was chartered in 4/11/1947 and remained open until 1988. Beta Iota was located at Minot State University in Minot, ND and has a total of 871 initiated members.

Thanks guys! Well I'm really thrilled they are coming back!
On a side note, do we know what happened with Wesley in DE or any other presentations we might have done recently?

Hmmm, I know that there were 3 locals at Wesley looking to affiliate with NPCs. We presented along with DPhiE and Theta Phi Alpha. I know that TPA has been selected, but I have no clue about the other groups.

I'm so excited about it all...especially Wesley since it isn't far from me. Finally, a colony I can be involved with!! Also, recolonizing is always a good thing with both Minot and Grand Valley.

Congratulations on becoming a member of Tri Sigma!
As for why there are so many closed chapters, a lot of it is because the schools they were at no longer exist or no longer have greek life. Tri Sigma began as a sorority that was at teachers colleges, which are no longer around. We are currently in a heavy expansion mode and are actually recolonizing an old chapter next year at Minot University.

Today was bid day for our High Point University colony. From the pictures it looks like they received 80+ new members.
