I was reading in the paper this morning that he has a chance at parole in 10 years. If released he will be sent back to China. I was reading that the Chinese courts/criminal system/government has the option of punishing him further, as their law states that if Chinese nationals abroad commit a crime then they can receive further punishment upon their return to China.

Do you think that a) he'll be released in 10 years and b) if he is, will China impose another sentence on him?

The man who pleaded guilty to the murder of Cecilia Zhang will have to serve 15 years in prison before being eligible for parole.

And probably further punishment whe he is deported back to China.
