I don't post all that often, but I will here, if only for the reason that I know that there are other people who will read this thread and agree that there is a huge problem, but won't post.
I agree that people have the right to post in a public forum. However, the immature and insensitive posts are polluting an otherwise great website. Recently, one has to wade through garbage to find a post worth reading.
This happened before on another forum site that I go to and, for a little while, they had a public alter-checker, so that everyone who was posting under multiple names from the same IP address could be outed. Wouldn't THAT be interesting to see...
Maybe being in a little internet clique gives people a perception of power or acceptance, or maybe they are just having fun - who knows. But I would personally prefer if people kept their random "drive by" posts in the PM's instead of putting them out on the boards.
