Bringing back some memories...
Watching Miami Vice while still living in Miami and pointing out the poor attempts at disguising locations in the show... and if they were real Metro cops I'd be having Internal Affairs checkin' em out... even if they were undercover!
... when speedometers on American cars only read to 85 and had "55" highlighted to remind you of the national speed limit.
(for those who grew up in South Florida in the 70s and 80s)... the infamous Hollywood Drugatorium... ahem... Sportatorium!, home of the infamous Rush (the band, not the talking head) riot! (The band was late in arriving from the Bahamas and the crowd waiting to see the show got more than a little upset, forcing Broward County's finest to start shooting tear gas.) Sadly, the Sportatorium was demolished a few years ago, a victim of urban sprawl.
