My son is set on a lizard. We already have a bulldog, a cat (whom we adopted at a shelter), and a hermit crab.
I called another local pet store-- the helpful guy there said NO!!! an iguana is not a good pet for a 6yr old. We are decided against it (thanks for the info though).
We are going tomorrow to look at other lizards, as well as turtles. The pet store also has 3 pet iguanas that are all over 6 feet in length, so my son and I will be checking those guys out!
