There are people in Hong Kong who have names like Casino Wang or Apple Chan. They aren't translations of their names from Cantonese to English, but names that they've chosen (either for themselves or for their kids) because they just "want to". What do you think about this? I personally wouldn't use most of the names listed in the link below. Kids with names like that are prone to teasing. I like traditional names like Elizabeth, Andrew and Katherine.

I guess Gwyneth Paltrow and her hubby Chris Martin wanted to jump on the weird name bandwagon like people in Hong Kong. After all, they named their daughter Apple Blythe Alison Martin. Blythe is pretty but Apple??? WTF? I hope they picked it because it's a very special family name.
