My collegiate chapter has a local tradition called "Presents". I know that not all AGD chapters do this, but we started the tradition shortly after my chapter was installed, and many of the ideas were fashioned from Presents of the past from our old chapters in Southern California.
Presents is held shortly after New Member Service, not after the girls are initiated. Family members, other Greeks, and representatives of the University are usually in attendance.
Weeks later, after Initiation, each chapter of AGD celebrates Feast of Roses, our formal celebration of our Fall Initiates.
Family, husbands, and other important individuals are invited to attend.
