Great idea in mentioning this, exlurker! It is a terrific option if it is available. Ole Miss used it for the first time in fall 2003. The result was incredible with ~92% of the PMs were placed. It did cause huge pledge classes in the 91-95 member range. (If these numbers keep up, expansion could be an option. However, that's another story for another thread.)
