I have had one for about 6 years. I don't really notice it any more and really wear things that anyone would see it. I have just been to lazy to remove it. My college room mate had one also and hers never healed and was always infected. She thought for sure that she would have a huge scar but she didn't. I also have 3 tats so a little scar on my belly will not bother me when I get around to taking it out.
