YEs, Grace Coolidge is a Pi Phi (VT BEta) and she is wearing her badge in the portrait in the White House.... and yes, Jennifer Garner is a Pi Phi.. many of the others named on this thread are indeed urban legends. Check pibetaphi.org for an official listing of notable Pi Phis.
And to the song chairman who thought she wasn't doing a good job because she didn't know of 'flaming mamie'... don't be embarrased. That's a song that belongs only in the basements of private pi phi houses. 'Flaming Mamie' and "Mary Margaret Truman" are songs that were taken out of the songbooks at least 15 years ago. They may be fun songs but don't reflect positively on the fraternity are on the real life persons that they are ridiculing.

I asked Wrigly's Gum and they said NO Mrs. Wrigley was NOT a Pi Phi, it is just a rumor. the Arrows mean somthing else not Pi Phi

Hate to burst people's bubbles but neither Meg Ryan or Sally Fields are members of Pi Beta Phi (at least the ones that we know as prominant actors.... there may be A Meg Ryan who is a Pi Phi but it isn't the one from When Harry Met Sally)
There is a section on the Pi Phi webpage that lists who the notable Pi Phis are..... you'll be impressed at the variety of pioneers in medicine, politics and science...

And Meg Ryan isn't even the actress's real name...her real last name is Hruska or something like that.

Margaret Truman as a Pi Phi
I have known--or thought I knew--that for many years. When I was at UCLA in the early 1960s I worked as a hasher (waiter) at Alpha Omicron Pi. I remember hearing the ladies sing a song about Margaret Truman, which for some reason stuck in my memory, as follows:
Mary Margaret Truman was the daughter of the Pres.
She lived in the White House with her "lovely" mother Bess.
She didn't go Theta nor Gamma Phi Beta,
no she was a daughter of Pi Beta Phi.
When her father Harry got the "shoo" in '52
Mary Margaret Truman knew just waht to do.
She went back to Missouri, to work in the brewery,
SO LET'S ALL DRINK BEER!

Yes, Nicole Carter, a California Delta, married John Forsythe. He was the voice on Charlie's Angels, and he played Blake Carrington on "Dynasty". SHE'S WONDERFUL!! and so is he. She is now Nicole Carter-Forsythe. She is a good friend and a HUGE supporter of Pi Phi. We get on the phone and talk for hours.

I'm friends with Jenni Pulos (Jeff Lewis - Flipping Out on Bravo) on facebook and she is a Pi Phi from UCLA ('95). Thought Y'all might wanna know
