No negative comments but honestly if I were your mother I'd hate to be surprised with your decision. I understand why you might wait but you'd could be pleased with how your mother reacted to your decision. I didn't join my mother's sorority and while she was a bit bummed she was VERY supportive through the entire process. Just a thought to consider but as preciousjeni said do whatever is best for you.
