My sorority big sister influenced me to join. I met her the summer before I went to college through my then boyfriend's older brother (he was dating her). We all went to dinner one night and she talked about why I should rush and why I should really consider her sorority. During recruitment, everytime I was in the ZTA house, she made sure to come over to me and say hello or ask how my day was going. She was friendly and made me feel welcome. When it came time to choose our bigs, she was #1 on my list.
