Okay, I really didn't want to get back into all of this but I don't think it's fair to criticize every statement preppie makes. She is judging the chapters from what she sees. There are many different criteria to judge a chapter on and, as I have recently been reminded, people do not necessarily look at all the different aspects of sorority life when voicing their opinion of a particular chapter.
I've made two remarks on this message board that have been taken the wrong way but I didn't intend for either of them to be rude. I deleted my comment about KD because when I looked back on it I understood how it could be misconstrued as rude. (For the records, I didn't mean that KD's members were of "sketchy" quality, but I'd heard that a lot of them drop out of the sorority.) I said Zeta was a weaker chapter because they have trouble with numbers.
Anyhow, I just wanted to stick up for preppie because people aren't realizing that she isn't in a sorority yet and her opinions are based on what she sees and hears outside of the greek community. Honestly, if someone said something negative about my sorority (and believe me--they have), I would take that as a sign of something we need to improve. (By the way, ecukd, you're right about me being a Tri-Sigma.)
