Back when I was in my late 20s (not that long ago), I was suddenly PLAGUED by 24 year old guys who wanted to date me. After dating two 24 year olds and being taken through the wringer, I put my hand on my stack of Essence magazines and SWORE I'd never look at another 24 year old again! I later married a man who is 8 years older than I am.
