Okay, I'm only 5'1" and a boyfriend I had in highschool was like 5'3' so whenever I wore heels of even thick-soled gymshoes I was taller than him. I didn't really have a problem with it back then but he did. He had a serious "Napolean Complex"
So now I stick to taller guys.
