This thread turned snotty fast.
Anchor Alum, liberal from NYC isn't redundant. I am currently on the East Side surrounded by conservative old money Republicans. If you look at a voting map, this area would be all red for Republican while many (if not most) areas in NYC are blue for Democrat. The Republicans to whom I have spoken are baffled by George W. Bush. They see this country going in a direction that they hadn't expected when they voted for him in 2000. Now they don't know what to do when election time rolls around.
ETA: I will also add that Munchkin
is "a wonderful representative of her group," having had the pleasure of her company on several occasions.
