Gas prices are really having an impact on car sales. HUmmer's sales are down and Toyota can't keep their hybrid Prius's in stock. IN fact, at many Toyota dealerships across the country, there is a 6-12 month waiting list for a Prius. They get 50-60 mpg by the way and are as large as a mid size family sedan.
Many manufacturers are introducing more hybrid models this year. There will be a hybrid Ford Escape and eventually full size SUV and truck hybrids. Toyota says that in a couple of years, they will have hybrid options for all of their models.
