MTV...
Side note - my chapter here at Long Beach State got itself into major and thick crap after being shown on MTV...
We are known now on campus for throwing the "MTV PARTY" - which was paid for by MTV as part of a whole special one time program on fraternity alumni returning to college to see how it is now...
This program was pretty much a promotion for "OLD SCHOOL" before it came out last year...
Sure enough, our chapter was chosen - and featured selected members as the lead guys, and included alumni coming back and partying (seeing how it is now)....
Although the letters were taken off the house, and the editors attempted to blur out the letters everywhere else, the letters were accidentally left alone - which were on one of our guys' trucks...
See, our chapter is known for having big lifted trucks with flames and our letters in "LBZ" style font/design... Well, they forgot to blur the letters in one scene on the window (on the truck)...
Although it helped rush incredibly, it also got us in deep crap with Nationals, DEEPER CRAP with school, as well as social probation for SEVERAL SEMESTERS which we will just finish out right now (we'll be off by the coming fall)...
So in other words, it's tempting - it's chill on the outside, but DON'T DO IT... It's a RISK...
Steer the other direction indeed!
