At my school, which had a very large Greek system, Sigma Kappa was about average. They weren't lumped together with the big, popular sororities (Kappas, Tri-Delts, Thetas), but I guess they were OK.
I knew quite a few Sigma Kappas at another large university, and it seemed to me that they were pretty good. They were one of the largest chapters on their campus, I know that. I guess it just depends on the school. I don't know for sure if any sororities (or fraternities) are uniformly popular across the country.
