Rudey, my alumnae group is open to all DPhiEs in the New York City area. We get together for a meeting the first Monday of each month at different restaurants that are not too expensive. Sometimes we change the date because of a holiday like Passover or Labor Day. Next month we are getting together on a Wednesday to celebrate Cinqo de Mayo.
Additionally, we have had events such as Happy Hours, parties, and pot luck lunch on the weekends. We use evite and yahoogroups as tools to get the word out. We have posted messages about upcoming events on our national and chapter websites. We have over 70 people on our yahoogroup list and about a dozen or so attend each event. Craigslist is another good way to get in contact with alumni in the area.
