I'm going to Texas!

Hi all!

I'm so excited--I'm going to Texas for the first time on Monday for spring break. My boyfriend is from Austin, so I'm going home with him, although I think we're going to travel around a bit, maybe to San Antonio.

Anyway, since 10% of my school is from Texas, it should be pretty interesting.

Great!! You are going to be in two wonderful cities, both full of things to see and do. Hopefully, you can get away from the cities for a bit and see the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The bluebonnets are fabulous!

I'm going to texas too, in just 10 days...San Antonio only. I'm sure to hate almost every day of my 6.5 week stay...

The Mad Greekness of my boyfriend's family
Dad: Lambda Chi Alpha alum from West Texas A&M
Big Brother: Kappa Sigma alum from Southwestern University
Boyfriend: Pi Kappa Alpha at Washington and Lee University
Little Brother: Kappa Sigma at Southwestern University

And oh yeah:

Big Brother's Girlfriend: Delta Gamma alum from Texas A&M
ME: Pi Beta Phi at Washington and Lee University.

I enjoy mad greekness, seeing as I'm the only person in my family that is greek. There is something about Texas, I guess!

Breathesgelatin, I hope that you are enjoying your time in Texas. Too bad the weather is crappy! We had nice weather a few days ago, but as the saying goes... if you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait awhile... I hope that you could find some fun non outdoor things to do!! I hope that you got to see some great wildflowers on your drive between the two cities.

Docetboy, you will be arriving to San Antonio during the biggest party in the nation (attendance numbers passed Mardi Gras in NO several years ago)!! The city is crazy with all kinds of festivals, parades, parties and lots of Fiesta royalty. Surely you can find something then that will entertain you during our 10 day party. I personally can't wait!!!

Can't believe I missed this! Have a great time! Try to make it down to SA if you can. Although only 75 miles apart, Austin and SA are very different. Have a blast!

I am so jealous.....I want a vacation to SA and Austin sooooo bad. I have a friend who lives in Austin, so I want to go visit him, but can't take the time off from work. You will have a great time!! To bad ya can't swing the Big D(dallas) as well!!!
