When I first went through rush, there was a woman who was also in one of my classes that rushed. You would never know it, but she was pregnant. She also had a son (about 2 I think) that was from an assault. She went through informal rush and was accepted into a house (sidebar: I should have accepted a bid from that house but I was stupid at the time and went on reputations). She deferred pledging until the next semester to have her kid. From what I hear, it was fine. she wasn't in it for the social so much as the sisterhood. She was an older student as well. So, it does happen.
