This is a total hijack, but every year a freshman or two at Pitt gets picked off by a city bus when they step into the busses only lane without looking first. The bus lane goes against all the other traffic on a one-way section of Fifth Avenue so someone always thinks it's safe to walk when they don't see any traffic coming. Then... splat!
Sorry, reading "freshmen" and "run over" in the same sentence gave me a flashback.

No joke... Greta Van Susteren interviewed her friend last night, and it was pretty telling. He couldn't say enough nice things about her. I was impressed. I am just glad she is safe.
James, I know it is rare, but just one of those scary things... You know?

What do you mean by the buses go agianst all other trafic? Are the buses driving on the left side of the road?

There are three lanes of traffic going one way, then the bus lane which is going the other way.

Am I the only one who is suspicious of this girl's story? It sounds very shady to me.

I just got through posting about this on another message board. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't true but at this point I think it's more likely that it is.
(1) She has injuries consistent with somebody who has been kept in a confined area.
(2) It sounds like, from what she's been saying, she is in shock and isn't making a whole lot of sense right now.
(3) I'm almost positive that the area she was found in was searched at least once if not more than that, so it is unlikely that she was there the whole time (one lady said she saw her there on Monday and Tuesday).
(4) I have yet to hear if alcohol was a factor in her behavior on Saturday night, but knowing my school I would be surprised if it wasn't.
Honestly I think it's more likely that there is some major fact that isn't being released that ties some of the ends together -- in particular I'm thinking that it's possible that she knew her attacker. Then again, this girl knows that if she just faked her own abduction and it gets found out that there is going to be a pretty huge backlash and maybe she is trying to avoid that -- but then again, if you're faking your own abduction you could probably make up a better story than what she's got, right?

The girl was attacked from behind about a month ago also. Right now they don't know if the two incidents are related, but I would find it really fishy if there wasn't something to connect the two.

There's supposed to be a press conference going on right about now with some "Breaking News" on the investigation. Wish I wasn't at work so I could listen.

Is the same girl that was on the phone with her boyfriend and was taken from a parking lot at a mall?

No, that was Dru Sjodin (sp?)... a Gamma Phi from North Dakota. She is still missing.
Audrey Seiler was a soph. from the University of Wisconsin. I think she was a GDI... I haven't seen any affiliation listed for her. sugarandspice would probably know.
