To get out of the first room:
Take down the poster and push it under the door. Click on the bed/pillow and you'll find a key. Use the key to open the locker and you will find a screwdriver. Use the screwdriver to take down the elephant picture, and you'll get a screw. Use the screw in the door lock, which will cause the key to fall out and land on the poster. Pull the poster back into the room and use the key to unlock the door.
