I think it's nice, from the right people. Sometimes I have guys tell it to me like it's an insult and they just assume I am a bitch b/c of it? That totally irritates me, I mean I think I am ok looking but I have had a lot of issues my whole life with the way I look, and I hate it when people talk to me as though I don't know what it's like to be insulted or something. Errgh!!
Also, my ex told me all the time that I was beautiful, it was excessive. I didn't mean a thing. The other guy in my life however just recently started saying "you're beautiful" like once in a while, after like 7 months. I thought he was just a total insensitive monster, but he's not, thus making his compliment more meaningful.
