It sounds like the company you got hired into is almost like family.
Which is probably why you ae having a problem. You are not a normal hire when basically its a family business.
But that goes both ways. I would go to the Dad and say, I have a problem someone just offered me another Job for 15 thousand more a year etc etc . .
I think the "dad" will probably be happy for you, maybe he'll offer you 20k more lol . . and then you can work out the details.
