I was in the 3rd grade when my dad was stationed at Ft. Bliss, by El Paso. We lived up off Zion Street, near a hospital. I specifically remember my parents tellin me, "If you get lost explorin, our street is 3 miles past a traffic light." The Goonie-esque adventures that ensued in Texas are treasured memories among my youthful excursions. I also discovered that it snows in El Paso, and that the music is bleepity bleepin awesome. The Shiner Bach would come later.
