My first name is, Deirdre, it is pronounced Dear-dra and it means "sorrowful." I asked my mom why she chose my name, she said, "I just threw a name book up in the air, it landed on the page with that name on it, it sounded cute, so, I gave it to you." As you can see, my name is NOT spelled how it sounds. So, you can only imagine the many different names that I have been given. But, I love my name, because it is UNIQUE
