I'm a big fan of the "whatever's clean and doesn't need too much ironing" look.

I love the "classic" look....think Talbots, suits, nice pants, etc. However, Talbots doesn't fit me well (I'm a little too tall) and I can't really afford to have nice suits/skirts. Right now where I work is pretty much "business casual" so that's what I've gotten used to.
I only own one pair of jeans. And I hate bras (but I still wear them in public).

For work: skirts, heels/knee high boots, tight-fitting tops and/or cardigans. I'm always dressed up for work, which can be a bad idea as I'm a news reporter and sometimes get sent out into messy situations, like car wrecks. But at least I look cute
For going out clubbing/bar hopping: usually black pants, black platform shoes and a halter or tank top. I also love funky hats.

For going nowhere on a Sunday afternoon: sweat pants aka "fat pants" |

 | I would SO love this look for every day.......... My favorite shirts are Nordstrom "wrinkle free".

I do try to keep it casual/classic. And I do love Talbots, and I love the Talbots outlet store even more!

But...............

NAKED works too.

For work - business casualWeekends - jeans, sneakers, timberland boots

I pretty much like to stick with the basics. I usually prefer solids, but would wear the ocassional stripe/print if it looks real nice.

I don't really have a style. In the winter I'll wear jeans and knit sweaters with my boots. In the summer my feet stay as bare as possible, and I'll wear short shorts and halter tops. Of course, being that I live at the beach, I spend most of my summer barefoot in bikinis. I prefer to be as comfortable as possible, so if I'm not going out I put on sweats and a t-shirt to lounge in.
As for brand names, I don't see the point in being a label whore. I'm a fan of spending money on things like rent and food instead of clothes that'll just go out of style in a couple of months. Now I do own a pair of Coach sandals just because they're dirt cheap at the Navy Exchange (as are most name brands).

I'm a big fan of basics, classics and natural fibers, accessorized with great shoes and handbags. When you're single and only have you to answer for, you can do this. |
