Princeton did recognize fraternities until the late 19th century. In the 1980s, NIC and NPC groups began to charter (sometimes reviving chapters dormant for over 100 years) at Princeton University. The school does not recognize these chapters (administration has their collective head up their ass), and these are
not city-wide charters, as NIC and NPC groups only issue collegiate charters to a host institution, and not a region.
