I feel ya, too. My boyfriend and I were just talking about that- the whole men fronting as this that or the other for the sole reason of getting women. He knows a guy who will spot any designer thing (real or fake) just to try and project a certain image. Now, I like expensive stuff, BUT I only buy what I can afford- I am not going broke for a look. And it is not so deep that I need to fake it. While I do not feel blaming the media is the end all on the topic, nor is it an adequate excuse, I do feel there is an undeniable influence from the media on our society, our people and our young people in particular.
