Hmmm.....he promised his brother that he wouldn't propose, and then he went and proposed on national television (that is, if "Will you?" means "Will you marry me?").
That being said, while Ian is whirlwind and passionate, I just didn't really see the addition of the deep heartfelt friendship there that I thought that I saw in her interactions with Matthew. I just think that Ian is the blowtorch that will burn out quite quickly, whereas Matthew is the slowburning log that will last for a long, long time. (and I guess for my own priorities, I would opt for longevity over an explosive burst).
But then, WTH do I know? I'm
single and all I had to go on was the way in which FOX chose to edit the series for public viewing.
