One of my friends went through a similar experience and that only advise I can give you is, DO NOT (under any circumstances) go back to him. Whether it be a couple of months or couple of years from now. My friend went back and forth, only to realize that she can never trust him again if she was to marry him (which she was actually comtemplating).
I heard time heals all wounds. So cheer up, cuz this loser is GONE!
