The official reason the NFL gave for asking ESPN to cancel the series is that there was no way that real life could be as outrageous as football was portrayed on the show. A quick comparison:

Of course, since nothing like this EVER happens in the NFL, ESPN was WAY out of line...oh, hell, I cant even continue to be sarcastic about it. Total BS
