Dean has said he will not run as an independent if he loses the primaries; like madmax said, it would be political suicide if he did so (although some may say he's in the process of committing it right now).
i think some of the candidates are going to start showing up more in Wisconsin, but this group of primaries is so crucial that they've committed themselves to them.
