I am so gratefule to my parents for putting me through school.
While I don't have a car...and it's something my parents would never buy for me, I could care less. The fact that they put me through school is plenty, not to mention all that they have done for me on top of that.
My parents, especially my dad look at it as paying it forward. My dad's grandparents were very generous to him and instead of paying them back, he's helping me with the things I want and need and in turn I am do do the same for my kinds, and I have every intention of them out as much as I can.
