BetaRose, I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I know when I was diagnosed it also turned my world upside down, as well as that of my parents (I was 11 years old).
Just remember that there are worse things out there and you can live a normal healthy life if you take good care of yourself. There's lots of suff to do, and sometime you may not want to do it because it can feel like such a burden. But try not to let it get you down. I did and I'm only now starting to turn my life around.
What type were you diagnosed with? Just remember you're not alone. There are a few diabetics on here and I'm sure we'll all be more than happy to talk and help you out if you need it.
