I met him! I'm a HUGE fan, and went up to see him in NYC in a reading/rock concert type thing for a new musical called "The Nitpicker" in early December - he only sang one song at the very end, after it was advertised as him "starring" in it... After the show, I went up to him and asked if he would take a picture with me - he said no, there were too many people there. Then I asked if he would sign an autograph, and he told me to "hold on a second" Then he talked to his friends for like fifteen minutes, seemingly with no intention of signing a freaking autograph for me, and I got sick of waiting for him and left. He was really rude about the whole thing, with a "why are you bothering me?" attitude.
So tragically, he's a big jerk. Hot as hell, and mega-talented to boot, but a major jerk in person.
And I was so excited about my Edward story, that I forgot to mention who else I've met... Alan Rickman (really dry and sarcastic and funny, just as you want the Brits to be) and Dame Judy Dench (she's tiny, she's just this little small woman with amazing presence...) and Wilson Cruz (Rickie from My So-Called Life, he was the sweetest), and Adrian Lester (really nice and smart and hot).
