"The House" - Kutcher's new Fox TV show
Kutcher in the House
Ashton Kutcher and his Katalyst partner Jason Goldberg will executive produce The House for 20th Century Fox TV, Variety reports. Ashton, who recently reportedly shut down his successful hidden camera prank show, Punk'd, will star in the new show. The one-hour drama will center on the goings on at a college frat house. J. Mackeye Gruber and Eric Bress, the writer-directors of Kutcher's latest flick, The Butterfly Effect, will write the show.

Usually network TV content is pretty tame. This might actually be a positive thing for the image of fraternities.
It at least keeps us in the national eye.

well it does say drama so maybe it will be somewhat respectable and it's not like we're talking about MTV.

Ashton was a member of Delta Chi at the University of Iowa, so he does have some first-hand experience and knowledge of fraternity life. I'm not positive the reputation D-Chi has at the U of I (I'm an advisor at our chapter there, but didn't go for undergrad), but just by going by their website, it appears they're kind of full of it.

We saw a trailer for his new movie "The Butterfly Effect" before LOTR; it looks like he might be trying to branch out from his dumb-guy stereotype. If the writers for the movie are doing the writing for the show, it has potential to be kind of freaky and off-beat--the movie looked that way, anyway. . .
