Not that this has anything to do with chapters but it was a question posed.
When you say 'Alpha Phi' the 'Phi' is 'Phee'. If you were saying 'Gamma Phi Beta' or 'Pi Beta Phi' the 'Phi' would be 'Pheye'. Took me awhile to learn that.
