I think it takes some of the pressure off! Most men like to take charge, and don't like to feel pushed. Letting him plan the wedding gives him the control he wants, and lets the woman KNOW that this is what he wants and WHEN he wants! They are less likely to stall... maybe...
I think I just like the idea because I am lazy when it comes to stuff like that.
