I come back and this post has blossomed! Great post, MiAngel. I'm glad the confusion is dying down regarding the MAP vs. RU-486.
I hope that my anecdote about my friend wasn't construed as my believing that women will become more promiscuous if the MAP is OTC. My point was that there will be a few people--which is true with any drug--that will abuse it because of its availability.
aabby, according to various sources, you can take the MAP or the regular OC internally...just insert it like you would a tampon. This is normally for women who are suffering stomach problems at the time and don't want to throw up the Pill--it's not recommended on a regular basis.
