				What schools need expansion?

I would like to start a list of schools that we (the Greekchat community) feel need expansion... big systems or small.... what campuses are in need of a new sorority or frat?

Boston U used to have a fantastic Greek system.
I'd like to see their closed chapters re-colonized. That would include (womens' groups) Pi Phi, ZTA, Theta Phi Alpha, AGD, KKG, and ASA.

:::sigh::: It's nice to be an alum.

I think we really need to expand here at Florida Tech. Right now we have 2 NPC sororities, and one local. It's my opinion that if the local had a national backing, they'd be much stronger. The problem is not with the girls in the sorority themselves, but it's more the people on campus who don't "get it". I really hope we open for expansion in this next year (we're trying) and the girls get to associate with a national!

We are always talking about Greek Life Shrinking but never really about Greek Life Growing.... so I thought that this would be an interesting topic.

I think that my school has a strong greek life but we don't need a fifth sorority.

Since we don't all know what the letters stand for, could you please spell it out. Also give a list of what groups are there now would be great!

Having grown up in Clarksville, TN, I would have to disagree with the idea of expansion there.
I am assuming that there is now an AGD in addition to the XO and ADPi chapters there. Is this assumption correct Squirrely Girl?

I know that KD had a colony/chapter there in years past and had to close b/c of numbers.

Perhaps I am wrong, but unless the numbers show otherwise, I would not see expansion as a good idea as of now.

 | Sigma Pi is trying to recolonize at SC, since we are the newst chapter here at U of A and have 5 or so houses waiting for expansion im glad we're growing as a system here in Arizona. Whether we are bring back chapters, or complete new chapters, our school only has a 10% greek population and i hope with the growth of the greek system we can begin to involve a greater population of students. I would say that all of us who are GLo love our organization, and i hope with expansion others may experience what we have and will.

Why not start a thread like this???
Pittsburg State U. Ks. 3 Soros., 6 Fraternities
There is nothing wrong with growth except running the smaller ones out and off campus!
