As NME this fall and the NME for the spring, I know where your problem is coming from.
We give quizzes every week....be leant like if they all ask you for an extra day or two because of school work, but nothing more then that. They have to get a 90+.
We also have a point system....points are given out for stupid stuff, every pledge earns 10,000+ *usally more* by then end...points are only taken away for serious stuff.
If you feel that they still aren't motivated, have thier big talk to them, that usally helps!
