I liked Ms. Hill's article too. I have always viewed the NPHC as being some of the strongest and greatest organizations of the African-American Community. Sometimes I wish these Afrocentric organizations did not have to be considered "Greek." I understand that they are Greek letter organizations because the Greek letters were in response to the setting/environment of the early 20th c. It gives critic's something to talk about. I do agree that it is important for our community to reclaim our Africaness. Joining organizations that are concerned with uplifting the African community is positive (whether the organization is "Greek," is the NAACP or church). I'm in a Marketing Group and all of our work's help the African American Community. When I help myself, I help the community. That's what I think.
