There are a lot of new items there, or never used ones which you can get at a wide price range. My cheapest purchase was $1.99 (I won't tell you the price of my highest one!!).
Plus, use your imagination! When I give prizes or awards to sisters, I try to give a good piece of china with violets - something that they'll use years after college! And I've found a LOT of that on ebay, too!
