Are you talking about girls who get accepted in the house? Because I know at my school it is considered dirty rushing to give girls gifts before they join a house. In my ASA chapter of Beta Beta we get Alpha Angels. They decorate a weeks worth of gifts and we find out on Friday of that week who the are. this is different than Big Sis. The alpha angels decorate mugs, frames, a box and put an old, but nice ASA shirt w/o letters in there- from formal or such. I think getting to know the girls is the best way to make them feel comfortable.
