I read about this on another board that I used to frequent, "ALLNURSES". Since I am training to be a nurse, I have mixed feelings about exactly HOW the administration should have handled it, though I do agree that the 'gentlemen' in question was racist. Although you cannot force your care onto a patient, (in a non-urgent situation), a patient is only ENTITLED to a competent medical staff. I have so much to say on the issue, but I wanted to provide the link to this thread about it over there so you can read opinions from others.
