Settling v. Compromising

For Joan, just getting engaged was a milestone. Like she told dude, the fact that she found someone who loved her that much was what her self-esteem needed.

As for compromises. That would be a tough one for me. But I agree, that is why you should know someone well before you get engaged rather than using it as the getting to know you time.
